Chocolate Pancakes

Makes 12 pancakes. Ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour of choice

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • ¼ cup drinking chocolate

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Method 

1. In a bowl beat the egg and milk together. Add the flour, baking powder and drinking chocolate to the bowl and mix well.

2. Place one teaspoon of olive oil into a pan on medium heat. Spoon 2 tablespoons of mixture per pancake into the pan. Cook for 3 minutes on each side then serve or place in oven to keep warm.


Notes

  • For extra protein swap the drinking chocolate for chocolate protein powder!

  • Choose a flour with extra nutrition such as whole meal or buckwheat.

  • Try serving with Greek yoghurt and berries!
